Specing in Beast Mastery hunter in WoW will rarely cause you to pull aggro from your pet because you get some abilities that will stop that from happening, so this is definitely a great leveling build.

It's true that with a Beast Mastery build your hunter won't be as strong as he could be on a Marksmanship build, nor will you have the combat bonuses to ensure your continued survival like with a Survivalist build, but for fighting mobs and leveling up it does the job nice. There are a couple of talents that you need to have in order to make the most out of your Beast Mastery build:

o Tier 1 - Both Improved Aspect of the Hawk and Endurance Training are useful and are must-have.

o Tier 2 - Focused Fire and Thick Hide are must-haves, Improves Aspect of the Monkey not so much while Improved Revive Pet may or may not prove useful depending on your play style.

o Tier 3 - Pathfinding is good only for the first 30 or so levels until you get your first mount after that it's going to be useless, however Unleashed Fury is a definite must-have for this sort of build.

Other important talents that you'll need are Ferocity, Intimidation, Bestial Wrath, The Beast Within, Kindred Spirits and of course Beast Mastery.

World of Warcraft Jewelcrafting Guide

With the Burning Crusade expansion, World of Warcraft players have the ability to use Jewelcrafting to create rings, necklaces, crowns, and other items which were previously only available as quest rewards or loot drops. You can also use item socketing in much the same way as it is used in Diablo II to create new armor. Members of the Jewelcrafting profession, or Jewelcrafters, carve gems to prepare them for insertion into socketed items. The addition of these jewels creates bonus enhancements to armor, based on the type of jewel used. While Jewelcrafters are the primary source of usable jewels in these items, some dangerous monsters also drop gems that can be used in this way.

Socketed items can have gems installed by any character, but they cannot be altered aside from putting the gems into them. Sockets cannot be added to, changed, or removed from any item. Once a jewel has been obtained from a Jewelcrafter, it can be socketed by shift-right-clicking the desired item and dropping the jewel into the socket in the window that pops up. After placing the jewel, simply click the "Socket Gems" button to create the new item. While you can replace an old jewel with a new one, this destroys the old jewel completely.

Jewelcrafters should pair their primary profession of Jewelcrafting with Mining to enable them to acquire raw materials more easily. With these materials, such as metal ores, a Jewelcrafter can create rings and other jewelry for sale. At low levels, these are simply Copper Rings, but other items are quickly available. A Jeweler's Kit is also required initially, but this can be acquired for 8 silver at the Jewelcrafting supply vendor. Making items available to your Jewelcrafting characters will improve their skills by a point per item as well as earning experience. Items that are displayed in green test in the Jewelcrafting menu are worth less experience and you may have to make several of them to acquire a skill point. Yellow or orange text items are more difficult and worth correspondingly more in skill development. At a certain level, particular items will stop bringing experience when made, and more difficult items will have to be created to produce the same effect. A common strategy is to find an item which uses a small amount of readily available materials and grind up skills by making many of it. This way, you can stockpile component items such as Delicate Copper Wire and Bronze Settings for later use while improving your skill. Until the higher levels, Jewelcrafting is mostly about creating jewelry and small trinkets.

At skill level 20, you can learn Prospecting from the Jewelcrafting trainer. In addition to your Mining skill, this will allow you to extract gems from the ore you have mined. This is advantageous, since other Miners don't have this ability. It also increases the chance of obtaining gems for jewelry. Prospecting can be taken without having the Mining skill, but your Jewelcrafting skill must be the same as the minimum skill level for mining particular piece of ore in order to prospect it. You will need 5 of any type of ore in order to use Prospecting on it. After reaching skill level 300 in Jewelcrafting, you will be able to cut special gems found in the Outland. This requires the use of a Simple Grinder, again purchased from the Jewelcrafting supplies vendor. The Grinder costs 2 gold and fifty silver. Cutting these gems permits them to be used in socketed armor. Anyone can socket already cut gems, so if you don't need them for your personal gear, you can sell them to other players.

Each type of gem in World of Warcraft is categorized by color. Different colors of gem provide different abilities when used in socketed items. Any colored gem will fit into any colored socket, but if you match the colors of the gem and socket, a bonus is activated. Primary colored gems, such as red, yellow, and blue will only match the socket for their specific color. Secondary colored gems - green, orange, and purple - will match either of the two colored sockets that make up their color. A purple gem would thus be matchable with a red or blue colored socket. Meta gems come with an additional bonus, but have special color requirements for activation, so players may choose to forfeit a socket bonus in order to obtain the meta bonus instead.

The cut of a gem affects what bonus it gives. Cutting a Blood Garnet into a Teardrop Blood Garnet gives +13 to Healing Spells, whereas creating a Bright Blood Garnet gives +12 to Attack Power. Each color of gem has uncommon and rare forms that can be cut according to different patterns learned from vendors. Uncommon patterns can be learned at Jewelcrafting skill level 300 to 325, and rare patterns are learnable at skill level 350. Cuts for meta gems are learnable at a higher skill level than those for regular gems, around skill level 365. They will only fit into meta sockets that are available only on high level items. Some meta gems will also be dropped by bosses or created by alchemists. Boss drop meta slot jewels can't be crafted.

For many Jewelcrafters, the goal is to grind their skill up to 300 as quickly as possible. This is best done by creating many of the items made from easy, readily available materials. What path you use to reach this goal will depend on what materials you have on hand, and how much space you have in your inventory. In many cases, making more of an item with yellow text will provide "free" skill points since it is a required component for other items. Doing these early in the game allows you to use them later as well as to get the skill points for making them.

After finding a fishing trainer, usually by any lake or river, you'll need to buy a pole from a trade merchant or auction house. After acquiring your pole return to your trainer who will then instill you with Journeyman, Expert, and Artisan fishing skills. If you want to become a fishing master, you'll have to journey to the farther reaches on your map. But let's start off slow.

To gain your first skill point as a fisherman you'll have to have successfully caught more than one catch. Note that better fishing poles equal better and more valuable catches. Once you've raised your fishing skill to 20, you'll be able to buy and use the Big Iron fishing pole. You can earn superior poles through quests, but be aware that some quests are exclusive depending on which faction your character belongs to.

Where to fish? We all know that rivers and lakes make great sources, but not every location yields results to every player. Some fishing spots are only suitable for certain levels of players. If you notice that you've been catching junk for the past hour, maybe that spot is only open to high level players. Increase your skill level and return later to newer and better rewards.

Leveling up as a resto shaman should only be done if you're either really experienced with the class, or if you have a group of friends that will need a healer as you level up together. Ideally you should level up as elemental or enhancement and then re-spec to resto when you're close to dinging the level cap, also at low levels getting good resto gear is rather difficult. So we're going to talk about a wow shaman resto build for someone who's either close to 70 and wants to stay there, or 80.

o Shamanistic Focus will definitely be a plus.

o Toughness; for an extra ten percent of your armor.

Whether you're a golf equipment fanatic or just a casual observer of the latest offerings and trends in golf clubs and accessories, the 2009 Golf Digest Hot List is a golf equipment smorgasbord. From drivers, fairway woods and hybrids, to irons, wedges and putters-oh, and bags and balls, too-the equipment gurus at Golf Digest break it down in their popular annual equipment ranking.

The Process

If you're wondering how golf equipment experts rate, for example, Callaway drivers or TaylorMade irons, think Excel spreadsheets with thousands of data points, hundreds of pages of technical data from golf equipment manufacturers, scientists, a four-part judging criteria, and a two-week visit to a San Jose, California, resort for field testing.

The process is, in a word, exhaustive. Golf Digest evaluated the "universe" of golf clubs-471 entries, to be exact-and judged them across four weighted criteria: 1) performance (40%), 2) innovation (30%), 3) look/sound/feel (20%), and 4) demand (10%). 

After all the facts and data were collected, the judges engaged in nine days of meetings that included 800 debates to arrive at the 116-club Hot List. Along the way, they ate a lot of take-out food.

 Following is a peek at this year's list. 

Drivers

Golf Digest breaks down the golf drivers category into two parts: drivers over $350 and drivers under $350. Then it splits the two categories into gold and silver winners.

Three of the gold winners in the over $350 category are the Callaway FT-9, PING Rapture V2 and the TaylorMade r7 Limited.

No one is better than Callaway at using multiple materials, said the judges about the FT-9. Players like the look, balance and carry of the PING Rapture V2, which has a similar look to the PING G10. The TaylorMade r7 Limited has movable weights and features an Ozik shaft. Some said it produces the best feel of any club on the market. 

Gold winners in the under $350 category included Adams Speedline, Callaway Big Bertha Diablo, PING G10 and TaylorMade Burner. 

Irons

Irons were broken into three categories that correspond with playing ability and interests: game improvement, super game improvement and players irons.

Gold winners in the game-improvement category included Callaway X-22, PING G10 and TaylorMade Burner. One player said he could hit the Callaway X-22 irons blindfolded. Sign me up, he said. Callaway X-22 led in the Demand category, which is an assessment of reputation, interest, intrigue and excitement. The PING G10 is a long-time category leader, and the TaylorMade Burner irons really shined, leading in three of the four judging categories: performance, innovation and look/sound/feel.

TaylorMade also had a gold winner in the super game improvement category: the Burner Plus, which features an oversized clubhead and hefty offset to help get the golf ball in the air.

In the players irons category, Titleist AP2 rose to the top, along with TaylorMade Tour Preferred, Callaway X-22 Tour, Callaway X-Forged and PING S57 models, four among the total of six gold winners.

Putters

Arguably, there's no golf club more important than the putter. Golf Digest took a close look at two main categories: blade putters and mallet putters.

Gold winners in the blade putter category over $200 included the Odyssey Black Series I #6, TaylorMade Daytona TP-KIA MA and Titleist Cameron Studio Select, which led in three of four criteria: performance, look/sound/feel and demand.

In the blade putter category under $200, top picks were the Odyssey White Hot Tour 1, two PING Anser models and the TaylorMade Daytona.

Gold winners in the mallet putter category included the Odyssey Black Series I 2-Ball, PING iWi Craz-E and TaylorMade Itsy Bitsy Spider. And leading mid-mallet putters were Odyssey, Titleist Cameron and MacGregor models.

Bags

Hot List judges took a look at lightweight carry bags and "do it all" cart bags, selecting their 21 favorites. Leading the list of gold and silver winners were models from Callaway, PING, TaylorMade, Titleist, Bag Boy, Nike, Ogio, Sun Mountain, Wilson and Izzo.

The Great Salt Flat of Uyuni and Its Surroundings

Surrounded by mountains and volcanoes that reach 5000 meters above sea level, the Uyuni Salt Flat (Salar de Uyuni) in Bolivia is an immense white plain of 12.000 square kilometers of salt. It is the only place on Earth visible by the naked eye from the moon.

Some call it a desert - nothing lives here - while for others it is a sea. However, the only thing certain is that the Uyuni salt flat is a huge white plain surface formed by grain after grain of salt.

It is such an extraordinary place that no visitor has yet left unimpressed.

Once inside, when everything is white, it is very easy to get lost. For this reason it is essential that all incursions be made accompanied by an expert guide and a suitable all terrain vehicle. It is an extraordinary experience to cross this lake of salt by car, especially during the winter, because at that time the sky is completely clear and the bright blue color of the sky contrasts brilliantly with the salt. On a cloudy day there is a "white-out" effect: the horizon seems to blend in with the sky and you can hardly tell where the salt lake actually ends.

Getting to Uyuni requires certain sacrifice: 8 hours by bus from La Paz. There is a paved road up to Huari, but from there it is a dirt road with many bumps and ditches. The town of Uyuni has grown in recent years and the traveler can now find all that a tourist may need: from varied menus in several languages (though mostly based on llama meat) internet, to hotels of varying prices and service levels.

Several islands in the interior of the salt flat harbor unique forms of life and gigantic cactuses. During the rainy season, the surface is covered by a thin layer of water that presents a unique reflection. The horizon and the sky become one, making this place a paradise for the lovers of photography and nature.

Once at the salt flats and marveled by the fantastic immensity of this white desert, one may think that all the expectations of the trip have been met. However, there are even more amazing and mysterious attractions that reveal themselves to the fascinated tourists.

The Village of Four Names

San Pedro de Quemez, is a small village of about 60 families. It has been destroyed several times but the community has not dispersed.

In 1879, chilean tropos invaded the territory and destroyed the village made of stones. The inhabitants found refuge at the foot of a mountain where they erected Pueblo Refugio (Refuge Village). When the invaders left, they returned and reconstructed their village at the lower side of the hill, leaving the remains of Pueblo Quemado (Burnt Village) as a witness to the invasion and abandoning Pueblo Refugio.

Isla Incahuasi

This strange island in the middle of the salt flats is formed by volcanic rocks. The most characteristic of the island are the giant cactuses that grow here, some since hundreds of years. A short walk of about 10 minutes takes the visitor to the peak from where one can observe this impressive garden of thorns and marvel at the fabulous view of the white desert.

The cave of stars

About two hours away from San Pedro de Quemez are Cueva Galaxia (Galaxy Cave) and Cueva del Diablo (Devil's Cave). The first is a rock fantasy that takes the visitor to another dimension. The rock formations were created when the salt flats were still a sea and the Thunupa volcano came into contact with the water about 225 million years ago. They resemble strange bones hanging from the ceiling and walls, forming extraordinary figures. Next to this cave is the Cueva del Diablo, which contains a cemetery or chullpar with human remains. It is a sacred burial ground surrounded by many myths.

After a refreshing rest at the village of Tahua, the ascent towards Pucara Chilguilla may begin. Walking about an hour to the peak at over 3800 meters, the visitor's resistance is severely tested. It is well worth the effort though: the views of the salt flat and the Thunupa volcano amidst the archeological ruins are simply spectacular. It is believed that these are the ruins of an Inca military post. At the shores of the salt desert, pink flamingos parade their beauty.

About 15 minutes from Tahua, this impressive place conserves pre-Inca mummies and the remains of the rituals and burials of these ancient civilizations.

Lanzarote - The Perfect Combination of Man and Nature

"Where has he brought me?" - The thought of my better half when we jumped off the plane and into the car. As we drove from the airport, through the dry, barren landscapes towards Playa Blanca the reaction of someone who hadn't been to Lanzarote before was one of disbelief. It certainly wasn't love at first site.

However, I wasn't alarmed. I didn't panic. I knew that within a few hours there would be a change of tune and I was right. We drove through Yaiza and down the main road to Playa Blanca. The landscape on this route is nothing more than fields of lava that looks like it has been 'ploughed'. It's a fascinating sight and something I never get bored off.

Within a few hours of settling into our apartment and walking across the front at Playa Blanca, even a brief shower didn't stop a change in mind. She fell in love with Lanzarote and the best was yet to come.

The following day we hired a car and drove up the west side of the island, stopping off at El Golfo to see the green lake and witness the rough Atlantic waves crashing against the lava rocks where land met water.

We then drove up to the Timanfaya National Park, where we took the trip up to El Diablo, saw the guiser demonstration and then hopped on a coach for a tour around the Volcanoes. The colours of the rocks are amazing - with a mixture of gold and red offset by the sun. The landscape is magnificent and totally unspoilt.

As we drove back to Playa Blanca the villages look so clean in the sun, with the white washed buildings and the crisp blue sky. One of the beauties of Lanzarote is that all the buildings are white. It's a legal requirement and it keeps the island looking so clean and natural.

It's definitely our favourite place, and I truly believe that Lanzarote has captured the hearts of many by maintaining the perfect combination of nature and man, proving that the two can co-exist!

WoW WotLK Guide - Changes to Blacksmithing

Wrath of the Lich King, World of Warcraft's latest expansion pack, has brought with it many new additions and alterations, most of which would be classed as upgrades (and improvements, in my opinion). Changes to Blacksmithing is one such 'upgrade'.

Blacksmithing is one of the professions that has seen significant changes (read "improvements"), having always been a somewhat pricy profession, never quite living up to its potential (again, my opinion).

One of the most effective money-making schemes has been to make chains for holding your weapon on through a Disarm; however, you are unable to exercise this option prior to Level 70 which, without a decent WoW WotLK Guide, could take some considerable time.

With the release of Blizzard's latest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, changes to Blacksmithing are afoot, including the targeting of the concept of adding craftable epics and PvP gear that people will actually want to buy. This will make it possible for Blacksmiths to earn gold with their improved craft in new ways, and also take up all new paths with their profession masteries.

Blacksmithing as a profession will now benefit from the new socketing of items, including craftable items, that Blacksmiths will now be able to perform. Blacksmiths will only be able to sell belts that they have socketed, and may only do sockets on weapons and gear through trade windows. This, effectively, will be adding a trade and service aspect to the profession; something that has been conspicuous in its absence up until now.

In addition to the above changes to Blacksmithing, Blacksmiths will also be able to socket their own gloves and bracers with bonuses that are better than most enchants out there.

Blacksmiths will also now be able to craft epic BoE items and sell them at auction and, while they may not be quite on par with raid quality items, they will be the easiest epic items to achieve in the game, and will still reward decent profits for most blacksmiths, because the majority of players still don't go on raids to get those high end items.

In a nutshell, Blacksmithing can only benefit from the numerous changes and, while they may not be enough to significantly boost the Blacksmith's gold making potential, they certainly add new levels and depth (and interest) to the profession, that were not there previously.

If you are already a Blacksmith (or are thinking about being one), it may be well worth your time to continue leveling towards 450 for the benefits of these new options that were not previously available.

Torchlight PC Game Review

The first thing I thought when I started playing Torchlight is that it is a quick Diablo rip-of. But then it surprised me, it is very similar to Diablo but with its own spin on it. If you are impatiently waiting for Diablo 3 then this is the perfect game for you, it was actually designed by one of Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 co-designers.

When you start you have to choose from the Destroyer - the melee unit that can also use some magic, the Alchemist - the spell caster that uses electricity, fire and you can summon units. The Vanquisher - uses ranged weapons and set traps for enemies. They are totally different, this is good as it enables one to easily play the game 3 times without getting bored.

I Love the graphics style, it reminds me of a blizzard feel, this is because that some of the people that worked for blizzard worked on this game. It feels like it fits with the rest of the game. Although there is a story your will probably not bother too much with it has you will be killing too much.

The game has a great auto save system, once you get tired of playing you just quit and everything is saved. You also have dog that helps you fight and when your inventory is full you can give the items that you won't use to your dog and he can go and sell it for you. This is very useful and helps the game not break it flow, in fact there is almost nothing that will interrupt the flow of the game, this is fun but can get a bit much at times.

This game was a real pleasant surprise. It has loads of content and will keep you busy for quite some time. It is a must have for all RPG fans.
